Milford on Sea Youth Lionesses
My name is Dan and I’m involved with Milford on Sea Youth Football Club.
I’m getting in touch as we are currently launching a new girls’ football section at the club – the Milford Lionesses – and we are inviting one organisation to become the Founding Community Partner supporting the programme across its first two seasons.
Girls’ football is one of the fastest-growing areas of grassroots sport in the UK, and locally we are already seeing strong demand from players and families wanting opportunities to be involved. Our aim is to create a long-term pathway for girls in Milford and the surrounding New Forest area to access organised football within a positive and supportive environment.
We believe there is a strong natural alignment between a businesses commitment to supporting communities and skills development and the creation of a structured girls’ football pathway locally. This partnership would provide meaningful visibility with families across the Milford and Lymington area while directly supporting opportunities for young people to participate in sport.
The Founding Partner role includes branding across:
• home, away and goalkeeper match kits
• player training wear and travel apparel
• coaching staff apparel
• matchday and Player of the Match social media graphics (at a minimum of 2 per week)
• club website and programme promotional material
This is structured as a 24-month partnership covering the launch phase of the Lionesses programme, with an investment level of £3,500 across the two seasons thats £146 a month for a minimum of two social media posts, plus all of the additional sponsorship on the apparel.
The Lionesses programme has grown from a mixed team I started two seasons ago so my daughter could access regular football locally. Across those two seasons the team lost just one match, and as the boys’ game naturally becomes more physical at this age we are now establishing a dedicated girls pathway to support players continuing in the sport.
We have also brought in Lottie Spottiswood as part of the coaching setup, who previously played through the academy systems at AFC Bournemouth and Portsmouth FC up to U23 level, helping ensure the programme is built with the right foundations from the start.
Alongside visibility within the local community, the partnership provides an opportunity for a business to be recognised as the founding supporter of a structured girls’ football pathway serving families across the Milford and New Forest area.
We are currently speaking with one potential founding partner for the programme’s first two seasons and would very much welcome the opportunity to explore whether this could align with a businesses community engagement priorities.
Most importantly, this partnership would position a business as the founding supporter of a growing girls’ football pathway within the local community.
I would be very happy to speak further if helpful.
